04. Practice Tips for the Working Dad

  1. The “Double-Batch” Rule: When you make the rice on Monday, make twice as much. Use the second half for Wednesday’s sheet pan or as a side for Thursday.  
  2. The 10-Minute Decompression: Before you start cooking, change out of your “work uniform” and put on an Outpost Tee. It’s a physical signal to your brain that you are shifting from “Employee” to “Provider of Experiences”.  
  3. The Cleanup Script: Don’t do the dishes alone. Assign the “Little Scouts” (the kids) the job of clearing the table while you handle the heavy pans. It’s part of the household “Build Team”.
